MemOle (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email address).
- User content: Photos you upload to create flashcards. These photos are stored only temporarily for processing and are deleted automatically after processing, whether successful or failed.
- Learning data: Flashcards, study progress, and spaced repetition schedules.
- Purchase information: Subscription or add-on purchases, handled through Apple and RevenueCat.
- Technical information: Crash reports collected automatically by Firebase Crashlytics, which may include device model, operating system version, app version, and other technical details related to the crash.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the App’s core functionality (creating and reviewing flashcards).
- Sync your learning data across devices using Firebase.
- Process purchases and subscriptions through Apple and RevenueCat.
- Improve reliability by investigating and fixing crash reports.
- Communicate with you about important service updates.
2a. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. This helps us understand, for example, how many people complete the onboarding process or which screens are most frequently visited.
- What we collect: Anonymous events such as “app opened,” “onboarding started,” or “onboarding completed.” These events are not linked to your name, email, or flashcard content.
- Purpose: To improve the app and make the onboarding and learning experience easier and faster.
- Storage: Data is processed by Google Firebase in a pseudonymous form (with a random app-instance identifier). We do not use this data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
2b. No Tracking / IDFA
We do not use the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT). The App does not track you across other apps or websites and does not show personalized advertising.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share limited information with:
- Apple & Google (for login, purchases, and subscriptions).
- Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, storage, database, crash reports, and App Check security.
- RevenueCat for purchase and subscription management.
These third parties process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. Data Retention
- Photos: Deleted automatically after processing into flashcards.
- Learning data: Stored until you delete your account or request removal.
- Purchase records: Retained as required by law and accounting obligations.
5. Your Rights
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
- Delete your account in the App, which permanently removes your flashcards and study data.

6. Security
We use Firebase App Check and other safeguards to protect against unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
